10.00: Hands-on Web Development Workshop. Web Programming Sprint begins with Marcia Villalba
During this six hour session, where participants will be separated in groups of 2 they will be given a task to build a web page by using HTML, CSS and Javascript (or any framework they feel comfortable with). The workshop is designed for beginners as well as for advanced programmers and will be conducted with the assistance of the coaches.

Module A) Find a right mountain for you to climb - personal strategy and leadership with Tiina Zilliacus
Glass ceilings and obstacles will appear everywhere, also in tech, whether entrepreneur or employee and a woman. The session will give you practical mental tools how to be the skipper of your own boat. We'll start from what you really like and are good at, working from good place within yourself, yet at the same time hearing the message of unavoidable obstacles and how to deal with them. We'll also discuss how to believe in yourself, grow your professional confidence and competence, define concrete targets, importance of action and learning, how to tolerate uncertainty etc. The format will be working session i.e. combination of talk, practices and sharing discussion.
Module B) Transforming capacity in an uncertain surrounding. Leadership module with Heidi Gutekunst
We operate in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world. We sense the need for transforming the way we think, act and do business. Research show that later stages of leadership maturity show a consistent capacity to transform themselves, teams and whole organizations. But what does it mean for me, my work and my business? In this experiential session we will explore what transforming capacity is and how one consciously start the journey of developing transforming capability. The session is a combination of talk, practices and sharing conversations.

During this three-hour, hands-on workshop into service design we will dive straight into the heart of service design’s methods and tools to help you uncover users’ needs and design coherent experiences.

Train your 5-minute pitch to convince the first investor or customer. You will receive insights on how to build your pitch, you can practice pitching and receive feedback for the business model as well as for the presentation skills. The workshop is limited to 8 participants and has a duration of 4 hours.

Sales & Negotation Module:In this Sales module we will go through the main steps in B2B sales process from prospecting till case closing. Topics include different sales tools, practicalities and sales channels.
Venture Building Module: Laura has vast experience from international projects from Finland, Spain, Italy and Brazil, where she has lived for many years. She is a partner at Courage Ventures, an entrepreneurship consulting & training company, and a board member of NFBAN, a female angel investor network. She is an active contributor to the Helsinki region startup ecosystem. Laura is passionate about impact entrepreneurship and volunteers as mentor for social entrepreneurs in Brazil.

COACHES
Marcia has more than 10 years of experience in software industry and currently works as a Senior Server Developer at Rovio Entertainment. She is passionate about learning and helping others to learn. In her free time she is evangelist trying to convert people into coders. Marcia is also an author of a blog that tries to teach the very basics of computer science to people. She volunteers in multiple organisations in order to bring more women to IT.
Tiina is an entrepreneur and advisor working with her own ventures as well as small start-ups. She has planned and implemented tens of digital services and managed 10 different teams during her 18 years career in mobile and online. As start-up founder during last 4 years Tiina has raised capital, created, produced and brought to market 5 different applications with agile and lean approaches, implemented content, PR and social media marketing as well as channel distribution.
Heidi is a CEO of Amara Collaboration, where she took a mission to double the number of leaders with transformational leadership capacity worldwide within 25 years, which she is successfully working on. Heidi has worked most of her career in advertising agencies. She started in HR and finance, continued as an Account director. The last three years Heidi served as a CEO for a digital advertising agency. Heidi attracted several international advertising awards and is now regular speaker at Business Forums interested in her personal entrepreneurship and transforming ability.
Jari works as Sales & Business Development Director for Creanord, a Finnish company providing telecommunication service assurance solutions. Previously he held several sales and marketing positions at Nokia Networks such as Head of Transport Sales and Head of Mobile Backhaul Sales. Jari has 20 years’ experience in international sales mainly within Europe, North America and Latin America.
Eva Rio is a service designer based in Helsinki, Finland. She works as a Product Support Manager at Tuxera Inc., driving forward ideas to improve the user experience of their end-user products and providing input on the design and product development strategy of the company. Tuxera’s technology powers billions of consumer electronics worldwide, from smartphones and tablets to cameras, cars, hard drives, routers and smart TVs.
Eva is also one of the lead organizers of the Finnish Android Association (now known as GDG Helsinki), the largest community of mobile developers in the Nordic countries. The community empowers and coaches students, developers, researchers and organizations in order to improve and develop the mobile ecosystem in Europe. She has run and hosted multiple product development and design-thinking workshops. Eva holds a M.Sc in Service Design and Engineering from Aalto University. Jaana is Innovation Director at Regus Kora in Finland, Nordics and Baltics, She is passionate about building enablers for ambitious companies to grow. Kora operates on university campus areas for bringing together technology, universities, corporates and startups. With partners like EBAN, they help their customer companies to grow and find more private funding for the future. She has a long career in Nokia Networks as a recognized innovation driver and execution focused and independent global project leader in all the continents. Jaana also has experience in running a design oriented business for five years as an entrepreneur. Her company had 10 employees, 80 sales persons and sales 0,9 MEUR (2009). Jaana holds M.Sc. in Economics from University of Turku.
Maud is a French engineer (M.Sc General Engineering, M.Sc IDBM) who has been instructing design-thinking at Aalto Design Factory for three years, coaching interdisciplinary teams of master’s students working on year-long product development projects in collaboration with top-global universities. In parallel she has co-founded Aid One - a hardware startup aiming to save lives, where she works as the CTO.
Monika’s professional background synthesizes design and business which allows her to deliver designs that meet business objectives without compromising the user experience. Currently, Monika works as a senior interaction designer at a digital product studio Nordkapp. Her work includes creating digital products and services that offer unique value and at the same time delight the users. Before joining Nordkapp, Monika worked at Kurppa Hosk and Fjord where she was designing services and user experience for cross platform projects like web, mobile and wearable devices.
Laura Honkapirtti

Liisa is the Lead of Girls in Tech Helsinki chapter. Liisa coaches startup teams as a business advisor in NewCo Helsinki Accelerator and is passionate for new business, technology & venturing. She is an international business development and operations professional with background on start-ups & corporate venturing, product marketing, go-to-market, business management & finance. She holds M.Sc. in Engineering and MBA from Aalto University.
Maria has over 25 years of leadership experience from the ICT industry and is the founder of Rosebud Ventures, advising entrepreneurs in clarifying their business priorities leading to growth. Maria's assignments frequently involve operational leadership and execution matters in tech oriented businesses on a fast track. In addition, Maria is also an active business angel in Stockholm, Sweden where she lives with her family. Maria holds M.Sc. in Computer Science at Helsinki University of Technology.
Reidar is a professional Voice, Speaker, Reporter, Educator and Trainer. Currently, as a Personal Brainer, he helps people feel well and do well at work by developing their mental skills. Using the BRIIM brain training system, people learn to focus, make decisions, motivate themselves, innovate, remember and communicate more skillfully. Reidar is a sought-after communications trainer and expert - particularly on how social communications in social media can be used in organizations to improve efficiency and profitability.
Saija has worked in the past 15 years with L-Force, a software developing company, their product is in many hospitals across Finland. She is an expert in Java, .NET, C+ & RADU system. Saija will share her story and her cross-industry journey into programming. She started working as a nurse, and now she installs radiology software at the same hospitals she used to work for.
Aape Pohjavirta is a windsurfer who was pushed into the world of digital media (because of his young age) in the late 80’s. Aape is the founder of Funzi. He is also a Member of the Board of the Finnish Mobile Association. Aape began his career as a trainer and has recently returned to this same topic by inventing a way to deliver learning to all, thus helping the world to become a better place. He has worked as a salesperson, evangelist, channel developer, team leader, inventor, innovator, venture capitalist, and polarizer in international companies and projects. Aape is also an internationally acclaimed speaker.
Karolina works as a Communications & Marketing Manager at Tuxera. She is interested in innovation, technology and bringing more women to tech industry. Apart from that Karolina is passionate about travelling and, literally, learning how to fly.
Pia Kantola
Pia has over 20 years of experience from SW, telecom and automation industry. She has successful results in leading large international organizations in different product development and professional services domains: technical sales support, customer care, customer specific SW and mass customization, product management and customer logistics. She is currently working as a Senior Director at Microsoft Devices’ product development. Pia is a recognized expert in the area of product and SW customization and she is passionate about customer driven product creation. Pia holds a MSc in Electrical Engineering from Tampere University Of Technology and MSc in Financial Administration from Tampere University.
